This student residence offers a new concept in accommodation for young travellers and students who are looking for a place to stay in the centre of Barcelona.

Melon District Poble Sec has a superb central location on Barcelona’s world-famous Avinguda del Paral-lel, just 10 minutes’ walk from Las Ramblas and the very centre of the city.

There are private double and twin rooms, each with a small, private, en suite bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet. There are shared kitchens to cook, relax and get to know other guests and there is a lounge with a pool and sun deck on the roof.

Melon District Poble Sec offers comfortable accommodation at great rates in the centre of Barcelona. The fun, fresh, multicultural atmosphere makes the Melon District Poble Sec a great choice, whether you are studying, on holiday or working, no matter how long your stay.

Room information

Double and twin rooms are available, each with a small, private, en suite bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet. Towels and bed linen are provided, but the room cleaning service is only available for stays of one week or more.

Food and beverages

MelonCafe provides cafeteria and take-away services. Its “Casual Food” selection offers a wide range of a la carte dishes, as well a daily menu with several choices of starters, main courses and desserts. MelonCafe is open Monday to Saturday from 08:00 until 23:00, and on Sundays and holidays from 08:00 to 17:00.

Area information

We are located on Avenida Parallel on the corner with Calle Blasco de Garay in the Poble Sec district. Just 10 minutes walking distance away you will find Las Ramblas and Barcelona’s old town, Ciutat Vella.

The Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city’s medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic cathedral. There are many quirky specialist shops, bars and eateries abound. Don’t miss the Museu Picasso or Museu d’Història de la Ciutat!

Tourists information

Metro Station: Poble Sec Line 3 (green).

From the Airport:
The airport shuttle bus is a good option. Its regular services connects directly with Plaza España where you can take the metro to Poble Sec.

If you prefer to take the train from the airport. Get off at Estacion Sants and from there you can take the metro to Poble Sec.

From Estacion del Nord Bus Stop:
If you fly to Girona the bus service between Girona airport and Barcelona stops here. Once you arrive you can take the metro to Cataluña (red line) and from there change for the green line for Poble Sec.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel.
There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
