The resort provides a regular programme of entertainment for children and adults, including all kinds of sports and activities.

The Guitilandia Club is open from June to September, from 10:00 to 18:00. Membership of the club includes a special gift when registering. The club is divided into a number of different age groups:

- Playroom (from 3 years)
- JJ Club (from 3-5 years)
- Kids Klub (from 6-12 years).

The Rain Forest Children’s Play Area is open all the year round and is suitable for children aged 3 to 12 years. In all cases, children must be accompanied by an adult.

The hotel has a heated swimming pool, which is open all year round, from 09:00 to 18:00.

There are also 4 outdoor swimming pools which are open during the summer season, from 09:00 to 19:00.

The hotel provides a sun bed and sunshade service from 16 June 2007 to 14 September 2007, with sun beds by the main pool available at an additional cost.

The customer service and information office is open from 09:00 to 20:00.

The Institut Gem wellness and spa is a special centre offering a wide range of relaxing and therapeutic spa treatments. The centre features an experienced and highly qualified medical team, as well as facilities equipped with the latest technology (appointments must be arranged in advance, at an additional cost).

The hotel also has public telephone booths for guests’ use.

Staff are able to provide advice on what to see and do in the area and can also help organise tours and excursions.

Area information

Lloret is an old fishing village and its origins date back to the 2nd and 3rd century BC. The history of the town can be glimpsed in the churches, monuments and ruins that dot the landscape, such as the Iberian village of Montbarbat and the Roman tombs. The town also has several ancient churches, including a 16th century church (with Catalan paintings of that period), Nuestra Señora de las Alegrías’ Church, the Benedictine chapel of St. Pere del Bosc, and the churches of St. Cristina and St. Quirze. Probably the town’s most famous landmark is St. Joan’s Castle, which dates back to the 10 and 11th century AD. The castle is situated on the hill that separates Fanal’s beach from Lloret, and used to be a defence against pirates.

Other attractive monuments include Plaja’s Castle, which is now an emblematic part of the landscape, and Santa Clodilde del Mar Gardens. The gardens cover an area of 26,000 m² and are situated in an amphitheatre overlooking the sea, which was originally constructed in the 19th century.

Today Lloret de Mar is a popular tourist destination thanks to its beautiful beaches, clear waters and idyllic creeks. The EEC has given these beaches the blue flag, in recognition of their quality. Lloret also has plenty of entertainment options including water parks, golf clubs, a casino, the harbour, restaurants and shops. At night, Lloret is one of the most lively towns on the Costa Brava, with lots of discos and bars.
