The hotel is located in a magnificent building of the S. XVIII, and is part of the historic buildings of the city of Madrid.
The hotel Cataloñia Moratín was opened in 2002 and has been completely refurbished, whilst keeping the important characteristics of the past as the classic facade; the principal stairs made of wood and decorated by a marble lion and the great ornamented entrance of capitals and medallions.
The features of the hotel are a friendly cafe- bar with views over the yard, a living room where you can relax or read your favourite book, a restaurant that provides international food in a modern environment and a conference room with natural light.

Room information

The 63 rooms are located around a traditional Spanish interior courtyard which is decorated with galvanized iron grilles and glass ceiling. The rooms are decorated in light colours that contrast with the red of the curtains, bedcovers and wooden furniture.

Area information

The hotel is located in the centre of the capital a few steps from Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor, and also near the museums Prado, Thyssen Bornemizsa and Reina Sofia.

Tourists information

The Tirso de Molina metro stop (line 1) is 200 m. away from the hotel. The Atocha train station can be reached in 1 min. by taxi.
